Wanted to tell you that I shared your son’s story to my 15 year old daughter and her friends this weekend. She is s sweet girl who is deeply spiritual. We went to lunch Saturday and I wanted to share with her how his life, and legacy had shared God’s word to so many people even today, six years after his passing, even here in Memphis, as we talk of a boy who wrote a scripture in all of his baseball caps. I shared the link to his Memorial Tournament and, of course, my daughter has put in her request for some bracelets from the website, which I will do this week. I also spoke to my Sunday school class (2nd Grade Girls) about his story. I just want you to know that I really do believe that God, however hard to understand, has a reason for everything. Your son’s story, his goodness, his faith and devotion is a story I’m sure has been told to thousands and thousands of people over the years through your baseball tournament and all the others his life has touched. And how amazing that his story reaches out across the miles so I can share it now.
Anyway, I get teary thinking about how a young man with a sharpie and a baseball cap continues to spread God’s Word, and how so many in the world will fall so short in our long lives of what he did in his small gestures of faith…
I’ll send you proofs sometime tomorrow.
I’m sure entering scores and stats kept you, (or whoever was submitting the info) busy and on your toes all day/weekend long! But, I cannot tell you how awesome it was to be able to keep the U-trip site up on my phone and just hit the refresh button to see who won what game and the score. Usually u r just in the dark until u get to the park the next morning, or hoping someone is posting updates on okball. Thank u so much for all u have done this past weekend and my son enjoyed every minute of it!!
We bought a necklace for my older son who was playing this weekend. And when his younger brother saw it, he HAD to have one also! He just started t-ball and said he needed a “big boy baseball necklace like his brother!” He doesn’t quite understand the meaning of the necklace yet, but he has worn it every day since we got it!
Thank you for a great weekend of baseball!

Hello, Mr Crawford. I just wanted to let you know that your son’s memory lives on and his story inspires and touches people through this tournament. My 7 year old is proud of wearing his necklace and telling Brian’s story. He insisted we buy a necklaces for his brothers at home and told them why these necklaces are so meaningful. Our team didn’t place (which usually is a deal-breaker for Wyatt) but on the way home he said, “mom, we need to enter this tournament next year so we can help Brian’s mom and dad build a park to remember him. God Bless!
It was definitely for a good cause and I am proud our boys took such pride in wearing their “Brian” bracelets and necklaces.
Awesome facility & great organization!!! All about the kids.Andrea Williams
I hope the tournament was a success for you. I thought your tournament was ran well and good quality umpires. We really enjoyed coming down and playing.
Let me know when the event will be next year and where you will have it. I might also bring down my other sons team.
Just a quick note…1st of all, it was a wonderful tournament. This was my son’s 2nd straight year playing in it and we hope to play in it for many more years. God bless you, your family, and most of all Brian!
Once again, great tournament and we hope to see you next year!!!!
Our family had a wonderful time in Shawnee-Prague this weekend. The Brian Crawford Memorial was a first-class tournament. I hope that you feel it honors your son in the manner he deserves and brings you some consolation in what it provides and represents.

This was my son’s 1st Brian Crawford Memorial Tourney. I just wanted to tell everyone that put this together it was flat out amazing. The Sports Complex was stunning. The staff everywhere including concessions, front gate, T-shirt stands, Umpires, grounds crews etc do a spectacular job. In my eyes all of you should be commended on a job well done. Thank you!
Mr. Crawford, we have never met, but I have told both of my sons about Brian’s story. We are really excited to play this weekend and help honor your son’s memory. I think that you have found an incredible way to keep his memory alive. By the way, my youngest son plays for the OK Heat 7U and he wears #13. May God bless you and your family on this difficult day. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you and shake your hand this weekend.
I want to thank you so much for allowing my son to participate in your tournament this year. We did not know your son, but having a very talented, competitive son myself I can’t imagine the pain you have suffered. I only hope that my son leaves your tournament with a sense of pride and honor to be a part of something “bigger” than all of us.

It was an honor and privilege to be part of this memorial tournament.
Thanks. That’s a very nice article. The tournament was very nice this year. We talk to the kids about valuing every day and how important God should be in their lives. We use Brian as an example of living life the right way. Thank you for allowing me and our teams the opportunity to learn about Brian.
Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do.
I just wanted to say thank you for a GREAT weekend! This was the first time we have played in or big Tournament. All of our kids had fun playing and played great! I bought my son a necklace and after I read him the story he wants to wear it all the time, even to school and definitely to games. On the ride home he was looking at the baseball card and said that he wishes he could have watched Brian play ball when he was still alive, coming from a 5 yr old that really touched me that he knew we were playing for someone’s memory, not just another tournament! Thank you everyone and our thoughts were with you all weekend Kenneth!!
JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS KENNETH FOR THROWING A GREAT TOURN. WE HAD FUN AND CONGRATS TO ALL THE GOOD 7U TEAMS TO FINALY COME TOGETHER AND PLAY. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE REST OF THE SEASON.
We were glad we were able to attend your tournament, and very much appreciate your efforts.
My son will be playing in the tournament this weekend and I was looking on the webpage for directions and such. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.
Your son was a very inspriational young man. I wish that there was no need for this stadium and that you didn’t go through what you have gone through.
You have done an outstanding job on the webpage and I feel like I knew your son. I am sitting here with tears in my eyes because I can only imagine the heartbreak you and your family have gone through. Thank you so much for sharing your story with the world and letting us help you by participating in this tourny.
I can’t wait to see the Brian Allen Crawford stadium. It will be awe insprining without a doubt.
Let’s play ball…………..
Love the fields and everyone is nice and helpful. Great season. See you in the spring.Amy Voelker The Company
I could not have asked to play in a better tournament. The effort put into this tournament to make it unbelievably awesome has left me speechless. This is the 2nd year we have played in the Brian Crawford Memorial and it will not be the last. Thank you for putting all of your heart and sole into making it special for all those children. Thank you for sharing the love you have for your son. It has influence so many people and children is such an amazing way. You and your family are wonderful people and have given my family so much more than you realize.

Thank you for having us be a part of The Brian Crawford Memorial Baseball Tournament. My son was touched and honored to play here. Thanks to all of the people from Prague/Shawnee, you all made us feel so welcomed. And you hosted one of the best tournaments we have ever been to!
Hey my name is Steven and we play for the Oklahoma Bulldogs. We have only been playing for 2 years now so I’m new to the scene. We are playing this weekend for the Brian Crawford Memorial this weekend. My question is how can i find out more information about Brian and what happen to him. I would really like for our kids to appreciate the tournament we are playing in this weekend and the reasoning behind it, Thanks for all the help and Info.
This is Darla Brooks from Enid Wolves. We will definitely put this tournament on our schedule for next year. Do u have any necklaces left?
We had a blast…got our rears kicked but the kids got to see how good teams play, became closer as a team (between games hanging out) and loved the playing in a different environment. We have already decided this is the tournament we will always play in if at all possible (we may be the token win for all the other teams, but will gladly accept that role if it happens).
This is our second year to play. We have changed teams but we talked our current team into playing. Last year I read Brian’s story to my then 8y/o son. He was so touched that he now writes “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” in all his caps. This year is his first year to pitch, when he gets in trouble he steps off the mound and looks in the bill of his cap and believes.

It was a pleasure meeting you this week-end and I sincerely appreciate the time you took to speak to our boys about Brian. Your words truly touched all of us, parents and sons alike. We were fortunate enough to play some good baseball, and our 13U Titans took home the championship. My son told me on the way home that this was the most important trophy he ever won – not because of the baseball that was played or the size of the trophy, but because of what you told him about Brian. I sincerely wish you the best in meeting your goal and seeing Brian’s park become a reality. You put on a fine tournament and it’s a tremendous reflection on Brian. Thank you.
