Wanted to tell you that I shared your son’s story to my 15 year old daughter and her friends this weekend. She is s sweet girl who is deeply spiritual. We went to lunch Saturday and I wanted to share with her how his life, and legacy had shared God’s word to so many people even today, six years after his passing, even here in Memphis, as we talk of a boy who wrote a scripture in all of his baseball caps. I shared the link to his Memorial Tournament and, of course, my daughter has put in her request for some bracelets from the website, which I will do this week. I also spoke to my Sunday school class (2nd Grade Girls) about his story. I just want you to know that I really do believe that God, however hard to understand, has a reason for everything. Your son’s story, his goodness, his faith and devotion is a story I’m sure has been told to thousands and thousands of people over the years through your baseball tournament and all the others his life has touched. And how amazing that his story reaches out across the miles so I can share it now.
Anyway, I get teary thinking about how a young man with a sharpie and a baseball cap continues to spread God’s Word, and how so many in the world will fall so short in our long lives of what he did in his small gestures of faith…
I’ll send you proofs sometime tomorrow.
Goodnight!
Lisa
Kenneth,
This is our second year to play. We have changed teams but we talked our current team into playing. Last year I read Brian’s story to my then 8y/o son. He was so touched that he now writes “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” in all his caps. This year is his first year to pitch, when he gets in trouble he steps off the mound and looks in the bill of his cap and believes.
“I Can Do All Things Through Christ Who Strengthens Me
Awesome facility & great organization!!! All about the kids.

Kenneth,
I’m sure entering scores and stats kept you, (or whoever was submitting the info) busy and on your toes all day/weekend long! But, I cannot tell you how awesome it was to be able to keep the U-trip site up on my phone and just hit the refresh button to see who won what game and the score. Usually u r just in the dark until u get to the park the next morning, or hoping someone is posting updates on okball. Thank u so much for all u have done this past weekend and my son enjoyed every minute of it!!
We bought a necklace for my older son who was playing this weekend. And when his younger brother saw it, he HAD to have one also! He just started t-ball and said he needed a “big boy baseball necklace like his brother!” He doesn’t quite understand the meaning of the necklace yet, but he has worn it every day since we got it!
Thank you for a great weekend of baseball!

Thank you for having us be a part of The Brian Crawford Memorial Baseball Tournament. My son was touched and honored to play here. Thanks to all of the people from Prague/Shawnee, you all made us feel so welcomed. And you hosted one of the best tournaments we have ever been to!

My son will be playing in the tournament this weekend and I was looking on the webpage for directions and such. Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.
Your son was a very inspriational young man. I wish that there was no need for this stadium and that you didn’t go through what you have gone through.
You have done an outstanding job on the webpage and I feel like I knew your son. I am sitting here with tears in my eyes because I can only imagine the heartbreak you and your family have gone through. Thank you so much for sharing your story with the world and letting us help you by participating in this tourny.
I can’t wait to see the Brian Allen Crawford stadium. It will be awe insprining without a doubt.
Let’s play ball…………..

We had a blast…got our rears kicked but the kids got to see how good teams play, became closer as a team (between games hanging out) and loved the playing in a different environment. We have already decided this is the tournament we will always play in if at all possible (we may be the token win for all the other teams, but will gladly accept that role if it happens).
Mr. Crawford, we have never met, but I have told both of my sons about Brian’s story. We are really excited to play this weekend and help honor your son’s memory. I think that you have found an incredible way to keep his memory alive. By the way, my youngest son plays for the OK Heat 7U and he wears #13. May God bless you and your family on this difficult day. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you and shake your hand this weekend.
Kenneth
Thanks. That’s a very nice article. The tournament was very nice this year. We talk to the kids about valuing every day and how important God should be in their lives. We use Brian as an example of living life the right way. Thank you for allowing me and our teams the opportunity to learn about Brian.
Please let me know if there is ever anything I can do.
